I really like the painting for a lot of reasons. More than that though I appreciate the amount of time and effort that apparently went into this, and I think its rather astonishing how much time you've put into developing your talent.
First off the accuracy of the anatomy is spot on. The legs really flow together, and your use of dramatic pose and foreshortening are difficult to do in the first place. The horses movement really give the painting a whole character and second life that it wouldn't have if it were just standing.
The lighting was also rather brilliant. You made it clear that the light source was overhanging and the sheen coming off the horses muscles really clarify that. Also they create and unusually clear sense of depth that is pleasing to look at. I was also considerably impressed with the way you illustrated the tail and mane. Again, they add to clarify movement and life in the picture.
Finally I'd say that the reflection was a very nice touch, along with the soft peach colored background giving the whole scene a warm, summery, dreamlike feel.
SWEET MONKEY JEHOSEPHAT NEA NEA IMMA CRY ;3; its...so..Beautiful ;____;
This beauty really reminds me of my friend's horse Falcon, a beautiful gentle freisian. When i moved i had to leave her, but i still see her sometimees when i go to whales, but it does make me think happy thoughts ^^
Not only that, it is just fun to look at it, how shiny and sparkley he is, and i love those gorgeous green eyes <3
Awes that's awesome im glad i bring happyness and good memories back to you Waffs ^^ Yess me luffs my precious sparkles 0u0 it is i quite like how i did the reflection not so much of the lighting in the background but the horse is deff good :} his eyes are half grey red and half blueish green i love it xp
xp, i was soo putsing in that stream because I hadn't really done this style yet so everything was trial ane error xpp but im glad you were there for a little bit Thank You Randomzness!!! <3
I adore this shading! Especially on the tail and mane! The reflection adds so much to this drawing for me. I love the little squiggly lines of light reflection, they are somewhat "messy" and they look like they came so easy for you, but they're so strikingly precise!
Lately your art has improved sooo much, it's amazing! I can't wait to see more of this style! <3
